Observe and discover
If you like to tell and immortalize the wildest sides this is the right place. Walking along the paths you will discover magical glimpses, marvelous colors and incredible landscapes. An opportunity to get in touch with the area, with the local communities and with local crafts.
Pietra Rosa open-air stone theatre and Maurolico Tower
The Numidian Flysch outcrop is characterised by quartzose sandstones, sometimes conglomeratic, with pelitic intercalations, tectonically structured, which constitute the substratum of the Pollina outcrop resulting from submarine gravitational flows in the past. Erosion processes and collapse landslides characterised by debris accumulations on the summit slopes insist on it. An open-air theatre made of local stone has been built on the northern slope of the relief, offering spectacular views.
Gratteri Cave
A singular karstic hypogeum easily accessible by a special path, where visitors can find a probable initiation spring, dating back to ancient times, carved into a stalagmite. There is a splendid viewpoint outside the cave where can be seen a karstic epigean with a characteristic inverted heart shape.
Murals and Old Town
Known as the 'City of Murals', this town offers precious emotions with dozens of modern art murals decorating the village. Decorations tell the story of Sicily, traditional symbols and icons, bright colors, the richness of the themes, and the beauty of the chosen locations. These include the Church of S. Francesco di Paola, that of S. Giuseppe, and that of the SS. Crocifisso. Canvases and paintings herald a sea of modern colors. Everything speaks of pride and hospitality.
