Favara and Granza forest reserve
The Bosco di Favara and Bosco Granza Natural Reserve extend over an agricultural area belonging to the municipalities of Aliminusa, Cerda, Montemaggiore Belsito and Sclafani Bagni. The area is dominated by cork trees, downy oaks, ash trees and holm oaks. The best-preserved areas less accessible, such as Monte Soprana at 1127 meters, where you can find stones covered with lichens, a clear sign great quality of the air. Significant is the marsh and lake vegetation near the cozzo Bomes pond at 833 meters, which, although the water level changes throughout the year, has a central area that never dries up.
Gratteri Cave
A singular karstic hypogeum easily accessible by a special path, where visitors can find a probable initiation spring, dating back to ancient times, carved into a stalagmite. There is a splendid viewpoint outside the cave where can be seen a karstic epigean with a characteristic inverted heart shape.
